Barnesville’s Welcome Mural Completed
The handiwork of New Castle’s Scott Hagan is now completed welcoming visitors to historic Barnesville.
The mural is located on the north side of the Barnesville Antique Mall. Mall owner Brian Mayhugh shared the following post expressing his thanks earlier this week to:
- Luke Johnson who designed the entire mural and his vision to put the project to action. Without his desire to do the project it would never have happened.
- Scott Hagan The Barn Artist for his amazing talent to bring it to life. Believe it or not he had to use graffiti spray paint for most of it because of our rough grout and bricks. Amazing!
- The Historical Architectural Review Board for approving the mural.
- Grenadier Energy Partners III for funding most of the project. We thank you for investing in our community!
- Gap Grant from the Belmont County Tourism Council for funding the remainder of the balance.
- Joe’s Tires for the utilization of a bucket truck and employee Matt Holida from Joe’s to cover two windows for the mural to get bigger.
- We are honored to have the mural on our building to welcome everyone to our beautiful little town!
