Union Local Middle School Harvest Queen

 Mati Brooks was recently crowned the Union Local Middle School Harvest Queen. As part of an 8th grade fundraiser, collectively Mati and 27 other girls raised over $11,000 to help fund the 8th grade trip and prom. (Union Local District Facebook Photo)

Barnesville Middle School Apple Launch – Originally planned to be a pumpkin launch, the event was changed to an apple launch after it was discovered there are few pumpkins out there!  The launch occurred on Friday during the school day. Students were permitted to enter up to five apples at $1 each for the event. The fund drive benefits the Middle School Student Council.    

Union Local Middle School Masquerade Dance – November 15

The dances is set for Friday, November 15.  The event is sponsored by the Union Local High School Junior Prom Planning Committee.

Prior to the event, masks will be sold during lunches beginning November 11. Masks are $2 each.

“Students are encouraged to decorate their mask and wear it the night of the dance. There will be a fun prize given for the best decorated mask”.  Admission to the dance is $5 per student.

A concession stand and photo backdrop will be available at the dance.   

BHS Cheerleaders  Pajama Party – November 23

The BHS Cheerleaders have issued a “Save the Date” for Saturday, November 23.  They will host youngsters ages 3 through 6th grade for a Pajama Party. The event will include movies, popcorn, snacks, hair tinsel, face tattoos, face painting and photo prop photos. Stay tuned for more information.

Belmont College BLS-CPR Training – December 9

A Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training class will take place at Belmont College, Monday, December 9 at 6:00. Call (740) 699-3866 for more details.     

Beallsville Schools Christmas Concert/Family Fun Night – December 11

The Beallsville Schools Music Program will present a Christmas Concert, Wednesday, December 11 at 6:00.  Performances will be offered by the 3-5 grade music classes, 5th grade band, and the Beallsville High School Band. The concert will take place a the school campus. It will be followed by a “Family Fun Night”.
