Phyllis M. Rinehart
Phyllis M. Rinehart, 87, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024 surrounded by her family at WVU Medicine – Barnesville Hospital. She was born on May 21, 1937, in Batesville, Ohio to the late Ledrew R. and Edythe (Trott) Basford.
Phyllis was a 1955 graduate from Batesville High School. She was a retired school bus driver of 35+ years for Barnesville School District, was a 65 year member of the Barnesville Chapter No. 206 Order of the Eastern Star and Barnesville First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Barnesville American Legion Post 168, Barnesville VFW 2792 Auxiliary. She was a founding member of the Barnesville EMS where she volunteered for 20+ years. Phyllis loved watching golf especially Jordan Speith and was an avid The Ohio State Buckeyes sports fan. For over 60 years, Phyllis enjoyed playing cards with her Cinch Girls.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Frederick L. Rinehart on April 22, 1996; a sister, Joanne (Chuck) Lucas; and a brother, Freddie Basford.
Phyllis is survived by her children, LeAnn Rinehart of Barnesville, and Darren (Dee) Rinehart of Marion, Ohio; and Beth (Troy) Wehr of Batesville, Ohio; grandchildren, Colby Rinehart of Bethesda, Karlee Wehr of Batesville, and Kaylee Wehr of Batesville; step-grandchild, Brooke Wehr of Barnesville; step-great-granddaughter, Makenna Marley of Barnesville; and numerous nieces & nephews; special niece, Brenda Flood; and sisters-in-laws, Delores Basford and Naomi Rinehart.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 3pm until the time of the Eastern Star Service at 7pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. The funeral service will be held on Thurday, October 17, 2024 at 10am with Rev. Tom Detling officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, Ohio.
