William (Bill) John Williams

William (Bill) John Williams, 80, of Jacobsburg, OH, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024, in Wheeling Hospital surrounded by family.  He was born January 27, 1944, on Pipe Creek in Jacobsburg, son of the late James Wesley Williams and Christina Louise Briggs Williams.

Bill was a retired truck mechanic and millwright for Ormet in Hannibal, OH.  He was a graduate of Beallsville High School and served as a volunteer firefighter in Beallsville.  He proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam.  He was a former owner of the Pennzoil Gas Station in Shadyside.  He enjoyed farming and was a locksmith.  He was a Methodist by faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Janie West Williams; two children, Deborah Williams and William John Williams Jr.; sister, Sue Blinco; nephew, Roger Blinco Jr.; and grandson, Caleb Heath.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Cynthia Kay Love Williams; three children, Karina (Don) Heath, Billie Williams, and David Williams; seven grandchildren Donnie, Daniel, and Dustin Heath, Zachary and Wesley Clary, and Gracelyn and David Williams Jr; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg and again Saturday from 10 am until the time of funeral services at 11 am with Chaplain Kris Bright officiating.  Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.  Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Moundsville Honor Guard.
