BHS Grad Tyler Jenkins Earns All-America Award at NAIA Championships
Tyler Jenkins, a Junior at the University of Rio Grande, earned an All-America award Friday at Columbia, MO, with his 31st place finish in the NAIA Men’s Cross Country National Championships Friday.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The 2024 NAIA Men’s Cross Country National Championship took place yesterday, November 22, in Columbia, Mo. The race featured the top NAIA cross country teams nationwide as they Battled for the Red Banner.
Coming in 31st overall was 2022 BHS Grad Tyler Jenkins, a key member of the University of Rio Grande Red Storm team, with a time of 24.34.5 earning him an All-America Award. The top 40 finishers in the race earned NAIA All-America awards.
The top five team five finishers were College of Idaho followed by Milligan (Tenn.), Cumberlands (Ky.), The Master’s (Calif.) and Indiana Wesleyan.
Rio Grande’s team came in 27th overall.
Overall, the 2024 NAIA Men’s Cross Country National Championship was a thrilling and competitive event that showcased the talent and determination of the country’s top collegiate runners
