Main Street Informational Meeting
Across America, there is a growing movement to preserve our past; to create vibrant communities where we want to live, work, and play; and to celebrate the local traditions that make every community unique in its own way. There is no better model for community transformation than the Main Street approach, and Heritage Ohio is proud to be the official state coordinating agency, in partnership with Main Street America.
Through a collaboration between the Barnesville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Belmont County Tourism Council and the Village of Barnesville, the community is poised to undertake a two-day assessment by the Ohio Main Street program in the coming year.
Main Street programs focus on four main areas: Organization, Design, Promotions and Economic Development.
The program is rooted in historic preservation with a commitment to openness and transparency.
An open meeting will take place this coming Monday evening (November 25) at 5:30 in the Bohandy Building.
