OSHP Dispatcher and Trooper of the Year

Ohio State Highway Patrol Dispatcher Kali Wheeler has been selected as the 2024 Dispatcher of the Year at the St. Clairsville Post.

Wheeler, 22, was named for the outstanding service during 2024 at the St. Clairsville Post, according to officials. Sworn Officers and Dispatchers at the St. Clairsville Post and Steubenville Post chose Dispatcher Wheeler based on leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public.

Dispatcher Wheeler is now in contention for the District and State Dispatcher of the Year Awards.

Originally, from Cambridge and a 2021 graduate of Cambridge High School. Dispatcher Wheeler was a 2021 graduate of Mid-East Career of Technology Center with degree in Animal Care and Veterinary Assistant. Dispatcher Wheeler joined the Ohio State Highway Patrol in March of 2023 and was assigned to the St. Clairsville Dispatch Center.

Dispatcher Wheeler currently resides in Cambridge, Ohio

Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Dan Moran has been selected as the 2024 Trooper of the Year at the St. Clairsville Post.  

Moran, 56, was named for the outstanding service during 2024 at the St. Clairsville Post. Fellow officers stationed at the St. Clairsville Post chose Trooper Moran based on leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public. Trooper Moran previously received this award in 2016.

Trooper Moran is now in contention for the District and State Trooper of the Year Awards.

Originally from Wolfhurst and a 1987 graduate of St. John Central. Trooper Moran was a 1992 graduate of Kent State University with degree in criminal justice. Trooper Moran joined the 129th Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy class in May of 1997 and was appointed to the Granville Post where he worked for 17 years. He then transferred to St. Clairsville Post in July 2014.

Trooper Moran currently resides in St. Clairsville, Ohio with his wife, Jennifer, and two children Aiden and Makenna.
