Rich Lyons, Jr.

Rich Lyons, Jr. (or Rick to his PA family and friends) of Cambridge, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 22, 2024, at The Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio. He was born August 12, 1952, at State College, PA, to the late Richard D. Lyons and Jean McDermott Lyons. He was a 1970 graduate of McGuffey High School, Claysville, PA, and a 1972 graduate of the Electronics Institute of Pittsburgh, PA.

In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his brother, John Lyons, his sister, Connie Reinke, and his Father-in-Law John Tipton.  He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Tipton); his daughters, Diana (Todd) Simmons, and Jean Lyons; his grandchildren, Abbie Lyons, Lexie Hoops, Aaron Simmons, Kayla McFarland, and Gerald McFarland, Jr.; two sisters, Kathy Shaner and Deborah (Bill) Kennedy; as well as four great grandchildren. He was a great family man, which included his extended family of In-laws as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Rich was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Cambridge, Ohio, where he served in many different capacities. Rich was also an active member of the local Lions Club, and the Guernsey County Search and Rescue Team on horseback.

A celebration of life will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 7022 Bloomfield Road, Cambridge, Ohio, Wednesday, November 27, 2024, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am and service to follow at 1:00 pm. The cemetery service will follow at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, Ohio.

If you desire to honor him, in lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Trinity Baptist Church building fund.
