Gary Eugene Householder

Gary Eugene Householder, 86, of Woodford, VA., passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, VA.  Gary was born January 14, 1938 in Lamira, OH., a son of the late Carl and Gladys Harbin Householder.

Gary was a former driller with Consol Energy and worked for Muskingum Mining until they closed.  He retired from Colonial Concrete Company as a truck driver and was a Methodist by faith.  Gary loved hunting and fishing and was a member of Cambridge Eagles # 386 for 50 years and the UMWA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Householder; a daughter, Barbara Mazzella; an infant daughter, Sheila Householder; a sister, Elaine Holland.

Surviving are his loving wife of 68 years, Sheila Clark Householder of Woodford; a daughter, Penny (Calvin) Carver of Louisa, VA; three grandchildren, Rachel (Tyler) Randles, Jeremy (Rosanna Orozco) Wood and Taylor (Allen) Johnson; eight great grandchildren, Addison Mae Randles, Harper Leigh Randles, Paisley Diane Randles, Caelee Rayne Wood, Greyson Dean Wood, Oaklyn Myles Wood, Emersyn Rose Wood and Asher Knox Johnson; a nephew, Lenny Holland; a niece, Nancy Price.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, OH with funeral services on Saturday at 11 am with Chaplain Kris Bright officiating.  Burial will follow in Guernsey County Memory Gardens, Cambridge, OH.
