Lula (McCort) McGee
Lula (McCort) McGee. Heaven gained a beautiful, caring angel on December 8, 2024, as Lula Grace McGee passed away at the age of 94. She was born in Barnesville, Ohio on Jan 31, 1930, to the late John Michael and Grace (Slevin) McCort.
At a young age, Lula worked in a sewing factory and later was a cook at Newton Elementary School. This deeply loved woman was known for her quilting and embroidering talents. She would hand embroider the quilt squares while riding through the countryside with her husband on daily jaunts. These usually included lunch at Bob Evans.
Surviving are her children, Harley (Mary) McGee, Grace (Donny) Owens, Mike (Sheri) McGee, Pat (Jerry) Little, and Dorothy (Mark) Ridenbaugh; grandchildren, Jason McGee, Andrew Owens, Tom McGee, Jodi Diehl, Jay Little, Molly Heidenreich, Jake Little, Adam Ridenbaugh, Sara Taylor, Liz Patel, and Janice Humphries; 15 great-grandchildren, (with 2 more on the way), numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Ula Walker and Ted Hotchkiss.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John W. McGee; grandson, Albert John “AJ” Owens; siblings, Bernard, Albert, James, Catherine, Rose, and Wanda.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at SharonBrooke Assisted Living and Hospice of Central Ohio for their loving care of Lula.
