End-of-Year Giving Campaign
Barnesville Area News End-of-Year Giving Campaign
We hope you enjoy reading the Barnesville Area News each week. The current website is the culmination of a 1.5-year project made possible by several thousand volunteer hours.
The website is step one working towards our goal of returning a genuine “print” newspaper for the community!
There is no paywall on Barnesville Area News. We do not charge anyone to read our articles. Over the past year we’ve produced news on
o School Board meetings
o Village Council meetings
o Upcoming fundraisers and special events
o News of local organizations and fundraising efforts
o Area obituaries and those of former residents
o Community calendar listings
o Church news
o School news
o School sports reports
Did you know we are now recognized as a 501c3 charitable nonprofit? We are!
Our goal is to operate on the donations from citizens, businesses and organizations…. our partners and stakeholders who make the greater Barnesville area a special place that we all cherish.
Perhaps you’ve moved away from Barnesville, Quaker City, Bethesda or other communities formerly served by the Barnesville Enterprise. Your continued interest in “the old hometown” is also appreciated!
To keep this project moving forward, we’ve set a goal to raise $25,000 to pay for the services to hire a couple of people to produce news features, sports reporting, and expand the website. In the past few weeks, we’ve already raised 20 percent of our goal – $5,000!
If you enjoy the effort to return to your hometown the kind of reporting we’ve long appreciated, please consider a year-end donation to Barnesville Area News?
Donations may be made at any time as a single donation or on a reoccurring monthly or quarterly basis. Donations of any amount are accepted and appreciated.
Suggested donation levels:
Subscriber – $60
Paper Carrier – $100
Printer – $250
Staff Writer – $500
