Carolyn “Charlene” (Neiswonger) Bailey

Carolyn “Charlene” Bailey, 83, passed away peacefully in Grove City, Ohio on December 19, 2024.  She was born on January 4, 1941 to the late Carlos and Hester (Yoho) Neiswonger.

Charlene was a wife, mother, grandmother, and a Teacher’s Aid for Union Local Schools.  She was a Christian who attended the Bethesda United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed reading and doing crafts.  Charlene loved children.  She was a foster parent for many years.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her dear husband, Vernon Bailey; a granddaughter, Holly Kasler; and brothers, Gerald and Walter Neiswonger.

Left to cherish her memory are sons, Richard (Karen) Bailey, Kenneth (Alice) Bailey; grandchildren, Courtney (Joe) Creekbaum, Tadd (Virginia) Bailey, Kai (Tanner) Kern, Kait (Donald) Krenek, Ethan Bailey (Elizabeth Bacon), Owen (Chloe) Bailey, Cassie (Robert) Dearth, Brandon (Anna) Kasler; great-grandchildren, Carter, Chloe, Quinn, Addison, Avery, Audree, Desmond, Eva, Oliver, Winston, and Vivienne; brothers, Lanny (Shirley) Neiswonger, Dallas (Lois) Neiswonger.

She is having a private burial at Ebenezer Cemetery.  Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on her birthday, January 4, 2025 from 5pm to the time of service at 7pm at the Bethesda United Methodist Church, 233 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio 43719. Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, is assisting the family.
