Barnesville Swim Coach Laments Lack of Facilities
“Just wanted to take a minute and share some information to the general public (again I know) that follow me on my personal page. Yesterday several area swim team-Barn, St. C, Wheeling Park, traveled to Wooster, Ohio for the Cloverleaf Stampede. Attached you will find the pool that is attached to the Wooster HS. I believe this pool is the local YMCA pool, but again, noticed that the word “attached” was used to explain where this pool is located. In Belmont County. there is NOT one HS pool, or indoor pool (except at several hotels).
In Belmont County, we have 4 HS swim teams-Barnesville, Union Local, St. Clairsville and Martins Ferry and each one of these teams and it is swimmers travel, by bus (provided by schools) or by private cars to practice…… continue reading Johnson’s Post online.
