Chad Zambori, Coordinator, Belmont County CARES Program and Ryan Gallagher, Nurse Practitioner, OHHC/Belmont County CARES Program, center, spoke at the Barnesville Rotary Club this week regarding the CARES Program. The CARES program goal is to decrease the number of non-emergency calls to 911 by providing services in the homes of those in need and to offer healthcare services and promote wellness to residents, especially those in rural areas.
The program was established two years ago and is operated by Cumberland Trail Fire District, in collaboration with Belmont County Commissioners, BHM Mental Health & Recovery Board, Senior Services of Belmont County, Belmont County Job & Family Services, and Belmont County Health Department.
Zambori, who was recently named as the second director of the program, was profiled recently by WTOV-TV News. The department’s first director, Barnesville resident Jamie Betts is now Emergency Department Nurse Manager for Barnesville Hospital.
