Linda Marie Schmidt Dornon

Linda Marie Schmidt Dornon, 60, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at her home near Jerusalem, Ohio. She was born February 26, 1964 in Graceville, Minnesota.
Linda was a retired employee of the Urbana City Schools and she was a member of the Beallsville American Legion Auxiliary #768. She enjoyed watching movies and Football (especially the Minnesota Vikings), and playing on her laptop; Linda also enjoyed playing Bingo and cards. She loved to travel and one of her favorite vacation destinations was Florida during the Winter months.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 41 years, John, who she married on April 28, 1984; a son, Ethan; a daughter, Mellisa (Joe) Gerards; grandchildren, Josh, Logan, Samaria, and Mikala; a great-grandson, Melvin Joseph; siblings, Alice Richardson, Edward Angerhofer, Mike Lemster, Nancy Asmussen, Lisa Schmidt, and Brenda Riggin; her mother-in-law, Glenna Dornon; sisters-in-law, Deb (Bill) Wain and Vickie Dornon (Mike Datkuliak); brothers-in-law, Walter (Barbara) Dornon and Donald (Kathy) Dornon; also many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Martin and Elda Hamann Schmidt; her biological parents, Martin Angerhofer and Audrey Winterowd; siblings, Victor Angerhofer, Allen Angerhofer, Geraldine Schmeichel, Stanley Angerhofer, Pauline Angerhofer; a half-brother, Brian Winterowd; her father-in-law, Walter Nelson Dornon; a brother-in-law, Orville Richardson; sisters-in-law, Shirley Angerhofer and Susan Dornon.
Honoring Linda’s wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial gathering concluding with a memorial service will be held for family and friends at the Wilson Funeral Home – Harper Chapel, Beallsville on Saturday, February 22 from 11am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers and keepsakes, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to one of Linda’s favorite organizations, Beallsville American Legion Auxiliary #768, 52651 Broad Street Beallsville, Ohio 43716 and designated for Buckeye Girls State.
