Morris Ernest Miller

Morris Ernest Miller, 80, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, surrounded by family at his home. He was born on October 29, 1944, in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Everett Miller and Ruth (Hunter) Harrington.
Morris was a 1962 graduate from Union Scioto High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. Morris was an over the road truck driver for many years owning his own truck and then working for Zumstein Trucking. Morris owned his own oversize load escorting, M&D Escort Service. Morris was a incredible jokester and story teller for anything if you had a listening ear. He could make a friend with anyone.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Marvin Eugene Miller on July 28, 2022; brother, James Larry Miller; nephew, Terry Allen; grandson, Nickloaus Stocking; and step-father, Webb Harrington.
Morris is survived by his wife of 59 years, Susan Kaye (Dean) Miller whom he married on November 23, 1965; daughters, Michelle Renee (Kenny Phillips) Miller, Deanna Sue (Steve Freeman) Miller, and Olivia Kaye (Jack) Schott; grandchildren, Miranda Renee (Christopher Robert) Secore, Christopher Scott Miller, Jacob Michael Orr, Deana Shaye Miller, Cora May Schott, and Logan Dale Schott; brother, Donald Richard Hunter; and several nice & nephews.
In honoring Morris’ wishes, a military salute with be held for the family and friends at a later date. Care is entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
