Jim McCartney

James Ray “Jim” McCartney II, 57, of Flushing, OH, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.

He was born January 19, 1968 in Bellaire, OH, a son of the late James Ray and Sandra Kay (Applegarth) McCartney I. Jim worked for several years at AES Industries and REM West Virginia for 8 years taking care of others. He enjoyed hunting when he could and was an avid music fan and played the guitar. Jim was known for his sarcastic sense of humor and spending time with his loving family and friends.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one nephew.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of over 31 years, Debbie (Luke) McCartney of Flushing; three children, Keith (Stephanie) Wright of Bridgeport, OH, Trista (Corey Lemons) McCartney of Shadyside, OH and Jim McCartney III of Flushing; one brother, Dave (Lila) McCartney of Centerville, OH; three grandchildren, Skarlett and Marshall Wright and Hayden Deforest and two nieces, Kaylann and Myranda McCartney.
