Upcoming Business Training Opportunities

OU and Belmont CIC Offers “Profit Mastery” Class

The Small Business Development Center at Ohio University will offer a “Profit Mastery” program at the Belmont County CIC, 144 Woodrow Avenue on two consecutive Wednesdays, March 26 and April 2. Hours for the class are 9:00-4:00 with an hour lunch which is provided by First Microloan of West Virginia, Tim James Loan Officer.

This class is open to for-profit entities that have been in business for one year or longer.

The program provides business owners and key managers with the tools that can move attendees from “profit mystery” to “profit mastery”. 

Funding for the program is provided by the Small Business Development Center at Ohio University.  

Facilitator for the program is Cindy Voorhies, certified business advisor for the Small Business Development Center at the Ohio U Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service.

Belmont CIC Business Bootcamp Class

The Belmont County Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) will host a class for pot entail business owners in May.

“Want to start a business? Starting May 8, we will have an eight-week bootcamp class to help you prepare. Classes will take place Thursdays at 5:30 at our office in St. Clairsville at 133 Woodrow Avenue. Please note, the 2nd and 3rd weeks will be virtual. Participants must be able to attend all sessions. There will be assignments between sessions.

Students who submitted ideas in the Future of Belmont County Essay Contest – you are welcome to attend this to work on your idea with us! We just ask that you be accompanied by an adult.
