A head on collision on SR 513 in Guernsey County shortly before midnight Tuesday resulted in injuries to the two drivers and a passenger. All were trapped in the wreckage.
Old Washington EMS transported one patient from the scene to meet a medical helicopter at the Antrim Fire House to transport to a medical trauma center. Barnesville EMS transported one patient to WVU Wheeling Hospital as a second helicopter was not immediately available. The third patient was transported to a hospital, according to the Fairview VFD.
Two individuals were extricated with mechanical tools while emergency personnel were able to get the third free by pulling open a door.
Guernsey County Sheriff’s deputies assisted at the Antrim landing site while the Ohio State Highway Patrol were on site.
WTRF News reported that “a vehicle operated by Travis Larrick was heading southbound while Codie Aford was traveling northbound”.
The Ohio State Patrol said Larrick went left of center and Aford swerved to miss Larrick but still collided with him head on.
Larrick also had a passenger in the vehicle, Amanda Hutzel, who was also injured.
