This year’s theme for the Voice of Democracy was: “Is America Today Our Forefathers’ Vision?” Barnesville High School students are invited each year to write and record a patriotic-themed essay for the contest.

The Voice of Democracy was established in 1947 for high school students. Nearly 25,000 students nationwide enter the audio-essay competition. The national winner receives a $35,000 scholarship. Congratulations Lydia Fuchs!
