Hospital CEO Addresses Chamber Members

WVU Medicine/Barnesville Hospital President and CEO Judy Bruno addressed members of the Barnesville Chamber of Commerce at the group’s March lunch meeting at Barnesville Hospital. The event was hosted by the hospital.
Barnesville Hospital’s new president and CEO, on the job a short two months, introduced herself to the community at the March 12 Barnesville Chamber of Commerce luncheon meeting.
Bruno currently serves as head of both the Barnesville and Harrison Community hospitals. She comes well prepared for the challenges of directing the two rural hospitals.
Bruno joined the WVU Medicine family after serving in several senior leadership positions of rural hospitals in North Carolina, including president and CEO, chief nursing officer, vice president of patient services, vice president of clinical operations, and chief nursing executive. Earlier in her career, she served as chief nursing officer, clinical services director, and staff educator and occupational health nurse in her home state of Arkansas.
Bruno received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and her Master of Business Administration from Webster University in Missouri. She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and an American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) board-certified nurse executive. She is also a member of the ACHE, the American Organization of Nursing Leadership, and the ANCC.
