I-70 Roadside Rests Reopen

The two newly constructed I-70 Roadside Rests in Belmont County opened to the public this past week. The interiors of the new centers promote tourist sites in the county and region.  

A third unit on I-70 WB in Muskingum County was also constructed. It also opened recently.

A formal dedication will take place in the near future.  

The old units closed on November 30, 2023 for the multi-million dollar project. Although no exact costs were shared for each center, a similar one in Ashtabula County reportedly cost $4M.
