Income Tax Reminder

Barnesville officials remind residents and employees who work in the village that the filing deadline for Village Income Tax is Tuesday, April 15. Information on filing forms are accessible online at the Regional Income Tax website or by calling (800) 860-7482 and (TDD) (440) 526-5332.

Barnesville Council Meeting Agenda – March 24

The Barnesville Council Agenda for Monday’s Meeting on March 24 is now posted and access bile on the village website.   

Warren Township Trustees Meeting – March 24

The Trustees will meet at the township building on Pultney Avenue, Barnesville, Monday, March 24 at 5:00 to conduct business before the board.

  Epworth Park Annual Clean Up – April 1

The Bethesda Park Board seeks the public’s help with a park spring cleanup slated for Tuesday, April 1 on the Bethesda side of the park from 5:30-7:30 in the evening.  “Pick up libs, leave and trash”.

Participants are asked to bring rakes, gloves and leaf blowers if possible.  Snack and drinks will be provided.

A rain date of Thursday, April 3, same times, will be used if necessary.  

Community Clean Up — Goshen Twp. April 5

The annual clean up by township trustees and JB Green Team for residents of various townships will take place this spring and fall. On the collection dates, items will be accepted from residents of affected townships only.  Collection dates are:   

• Goshen Township – Saturday, April 5, township garage, 61124 Hunter-Bethesda Road, 9:00-1:00
• Somerset, Wayne, Washington townships – Saturday, April 12, Wayne Township garage, 55024 New Castle Road, 9:00-1:00
• Warren Township – Saturday, May 3, Barnesville Depot, East Church/Mulberry streets, 9:00-1:00
• Flushing Township – Saturday, May 17, Holloway Village garage, 9:00-1:00
• Smith Township – Saturday, September 13, Centerville Community Center, 9:00-1:00
• Union Township – Saturday, September 20, township garage, Lafferty, 9:00-1:00

Barnesville Area News Annual Meeting – April 7

The first annual meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Barnesville Area News Company will take place Monday, April 7 at 5:30 pm at the Barnesville Library Annex. An election of officers and trustees for the coming year will take place.

Following the annual meeting session, the group will hold their regular monthly meeting.

The public is invited and individuals who are interested in volunteering for the project are invited to attend and take part.  Please address questions by email to news@barnesvillenews.org

Belmont JVS Special Board Meeting – April 7  

The Belmont-Harrison Vocational School District Board of Education will hold a Special Board Meeting on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the employment of a public employee or official. The meeting will take place at the Belmont Career Center, located at 68090 Hammond Road, St. Clairsville, OH 43950.

School Treasurer Opening

School District Seeks Assistant Treasurer. The Switzerland of Ohio School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Treasurer. The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree in accounting with payroll and benefits experience preferred. The successful candidate will report to the district treasurer. The position remains open until filed. Morristown Financial Reports

Morristown/Morristown Park District Annual Report. The fiscal officer has completed the 2024 report for the village and park district. It may be viewed at the village hall, 317 Church Street, or by calling (740) 298-1377.
