Tractor Trailer Down

Traffic on Westbound I-70 was delayed and rerouted Tuesday afternoon (March 18) after a tractor trailer overturned blocking both lanes of travel.

According to ODOT’s District 11 Facebook page, the accident occurred around 1:00 with traffic backing up approximately two miles. Many drivers existed the interstate onto US 40 west at St. Clairsville or SR 331/US 40 at East Richland to bypass the accident. 

In addition to OSHP, the Belmont VFD responded to the scene.    

According to ODOT, traffic was blocked until 3:45 when the vehicle/trailer were removed from the scene.
