Tunnel Work Underway

Construction crews were currently busy working on the east side embankments near the Barnesville Railroad tunnel this past week. The multi-million-dollar project, funded largely by a grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation, will include a trail along Railroad Street and rehabilitation of the c.1870 tunnel. The project is expected to finish up sometime this fall.
