Ohio’s state robotics tournaments have come to an end. For the fourth year in a row Barnesville Robotics will be represented at the Vex World Championships in Dallas, Texas May 9-11.
Three teams competed last weekend’s competition at the National Museum for the US Air Force in Dayton.
99656B – Middle School team. Posted an impressive 5th place score in skills, their best of the season! This score was good enough to qualify them to worlds, but they weren’t done. After finishing qualifying rounds ranked 2nd in the field of 58, they took it all the way to the state finals, finishing as state runner-up.
99656A – Middle School team posted a skills score that would see them ranked 7th in the state on the day. A solid score that earned them one of the 15 coveted spots at Vex world competition.
34872A – The High School team had a rough start but finished with a respectable 4-4 record, good enough to be 25th ranked in the division. They made the tournament round and were defeated in the round of 16, bringing an end to an otherwise fantastic season.
