Raymond “Ame” Brooks

Raymond Kenneth “Ame” Brooks, 97, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, died March 25, 2025, at home.

He was born November 27, 1927, in Jacobsburg, a son of the late Sherman and Gertrude Harlan Brooks.

Ame was a farmer and enjoyed gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Lawrence, Walter, Dave and Bob Brooks; and his sisters, Audrey Stillion, Mildred Rushin, Norma Peel, Edna Warren, and Ethel Rushin; a special nephew, Earl Brooks, nieces and nephews.

Surviving are his caregivers and family, Janice “Pie” Brooks, Anna Brooks (David) Cordery, Becky (Jubba) Majors, Blake Cordery, Wyatt and Walker Majors; many other nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Monday from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m., with Pastor Kris Bright officiating, at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio. The burial will follow in Armstrong Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Belmont County Senior Services “Meals on Wheels”, 67650 Oak View Rd, St Clairsville, OH 43950.
