Monday, March 17, 2025
8:07 am, caller wants to know when the BMV will reopen. Advised we do not know.
2:37 pm, person called about a hole in the street in front of the West Main Street Methodist Church. Dispatch contacted the street department.
5:52 pm, West Church Street caller reports neighbor’s dog is on their property attacking their dog. Female called into central dispatch requesting e-squad for lacerations to hands advised that the dog was dead. Dog is not dead. Female was transported to hospital.
7:58 pm, East Main Street, traffic stop, clear. Valid driver operating vehicle.
8:25 pm, Railroad Street, traffic stop.
8:25 pm, person at station to retrieve dog related to earlier incident on West Church Street.
8:38 pm, person called in requesting to speak with an officer about a traffic stop that was made with her husband and daughter not having a license.
9:18 pm, Fairyland, traffic stop, valid driver is operating vehicle.
9:27 pm, Person called in asking if an officer could take her to get her daughter’s car on East Church Street. Dispatch will ask.
9:36 pm, North Chestnut Street, traffic stop, consent search reveals foil with burnt residue and a clutch straw in pocket. Wasn’t cited warnings given.
9:45 pm, Caller states that she used to live in Barnesville and worried about a former friend who was having issues.
10:48 pm, East Main Street, traffic stop, warning issued for loud muffler.

1:11 am, Received several calls regarding callers receiving texts about owing money to toll booths. All were advised this is a scam and to block texts.
1:26 pm, person at station reporting threating texts from an ex co-worker.
3:30 pm, missing person. The caller advises her 9 -year- old daughter didn’t come home after school. Checked with friends and called the school, no answer. At 3:49 pm, mom made contact with daughter.
4:47 pm, South Broadway Street, person called that neighbors keep driving in his backyard and tearing it up. He is afraid to knock at the neighbor’s house thinking that they may say he is harassing them. Would like an officer to come, take a look and inform the neighbors to stop.
5:32 pm, Male at station completing report for fraud.
8:01 pm, South Gardner Street, investigate complaint Belmont County 911 got a call from a juvenile on South Gardner Street. Caller is crying over her cat getting ran over. She has blood on her. 911 requesting someone to check on this situation. Officer found nothing.
8:08 pm, investigate complaint, South Broadway Street person advised that there is a small girl laying in the middle of the street next to her cat that got ran over. Caller afraid that the girl is going to get struck by a car. Girl is wearing a grey sweatshirt. Officer responded but did not see anything on South Broadway Street.
8:18 pm, spoke to a couple of individuals on South Broadway Street and they advised that they didn’t see anything. No cat or girl found.
8:27 pm, Grey Lane, warrant service.
9:50 pm, Pine Lane, warrant service.
9:59 pm, West Main Street, 911 hang up, sounded like an older female talking in the background asking, why a cellphone was still on. Negative contact. Everything appears to be okay.
10:02 pm, caller states that someone locked him out of their house and is not letting him back inside. States that he gets mail there and has residency at the address which is in Quaker City. Advised to contact the Guernsey Sheriff.
11:07 pm, West Main Street, party called in asking why police were at the house earlier. They woke up just now and seen on their cameras that an officer was at their door. Advised that we had a 911 call from that address. Everything is fine.

1:50 am, 911 hangup, did a call back but voice mail was full. Tried again and spoke to the caller who said she was calling for an ambulance for her husband but he changed his mind. The husband was complaining about a hurt tooth.
6:29 am, Person called as officers did a search warrant earlier at residence looking for a male. Person stated he is trying to buy his stuff back from the house like needles and paraphernalia. Caller was told by resident he could come and get it from the end of the driveway or send someone to get it.
8:30 am, Barnesville Hospital, follow up, advises to contact deputy to go to Harlan Acres and attempt contact with daughter to let her know her dad is in the hospital.
9:25 am, WesBanco for follow up to ATM over the weekend. Appears damage to ATM was weather related.
9:40 am, West Main Street, vehicle lockout, parked in lab area backside of hospital.
10:10 am, caller advised to let officer know he came back to the Pine Lane residence and picked up belongings that were in trash bags.
10:44 am, advised a vehicle belonging to his soon to be ex father-in-law has been parked on his property for the past few months. Advised him that he can have it towed.
11:17 am, person called back referring earlier verbal argument with his wife. He stated that he confronted her for not paying the electric bill and they have not electric for a week. He stated she had packed some items and left and he doesn’t want her to return. Wants an officer to call him back.
11:41 am, caller having problems with picking up her kids on county road outside of corporation. Grandfather is refusing to let her have them. Transferred call to central dispatch.
11:15 am, caller’s whose dad was in the crash this morning for information. Advised caller that officer will call her back due to being on the other line. Called back.
1:21 pm, Mount Olivett Road, e-bike accident with property damage. Transport to hospital.
2:34 pm, investigate complaint, wife called to advise she is sitting on the back porch because he won’t let her in. Requested to stand by, while she collects her belongings. Transported one female and daughter.
4:15 pm, North Chestnut, accident property damage, report on accident on 800, caller advised not sure of the location. States elderly female fell asleep at the wheel and wrecked into vehicles. Caller was asked if there is any landmarks or cross street. Determined it was on Walton Avenue. Squad requested for elderly female with neck pain. Tow called for two vehicles.
4:19 pm, 911 hang up, 911 call open line could hear people wrestling around, it sounded like another call with female out of breath this time. She advised was okay and hung up.
6:30 pm, at the station referencing previous call. Both parties separated charges pending.
6:38 pm, investigate complaint, caller states that there is a male driving a 4-wheeler past his house and down around his yard and is loud. Also, riding in the street and it’s his neighbor that lives two houses away.
7:11 pm, investigate complaint, Caller from previous call advised neighbor just came down street in a pickup truck that is black or dark brown and squealed tires and doing burn outs in front of house.
7:46 pm, person called in that they found a dog running around Locust Drive. Person states it is an older black pug with a harness. Caller trying to find owner in the neighborhood. Owner was located.
10:37 pm, domestic trouble, 911 transferred call, when call was picked up a female screaming on the phone yelling at someone. Caller states she is having issues with her daughter.

1:58 am, person at station to speak with an officer. Person advised that his brother may try to break in a house he used to live in. Negative contact.
4:24 am, out with fire chief because of tree in power line. Barricades set up.
7:34 am, South Chestnut Street, traffic offense, white box truck driving reckless. Negative contact.
10:57 am, West Church Street, parking in no parking zone. Spoke with driver who will move.
1:28 pm, Kennard Avenue, dog loose. Officers trying to contact owner.
3:10 pm, East Church Street, caller earlier today he received face book messages from an unknown number and is now receiving threating text messages on his phone from the same number. Will stop in later to file a report.
4:51 pm, caller advised the therapy business on North Chestnut Street needs a couple of parking spots blocked off in the morning for their new signs to go up.
4:52 pm, caller from Wendy’s advised that someone hit parking lot stop sign and they need a report done. Advised it is on private property and they can stop at the station and receive a private property report.
7:10 pm, 911 hangup, central dispatch advised of an open line, possible domestic. Hearing a lot of screaming. Kids were just yelling and play fighting. Cleared.

1:13 pm, Caller advised that her ex called last week for a welfare check on their daughter. Informed caller that they would make a welfare check and let her know.
1:39 pm, animal call, Kennard Avenue, dogs running at large again. Negative contact with dogs.
1:57 pm, Henderson Street, domestic trouble, all verbal. Advised them to separate from each other.
3:04 pm, black Mustang parked on Walton Avenue for the past three weeks.
3:40 pm, person reports threats to charge him with child abandonment and with other party’s friends also making threats if he returns to Barnesville.
8:16 pm, Harrison Street, traffic stop, warning issued for the plates.
8:22 pm, South Lincoln Avenue, traffic stop.
10:37 pm, Bond Avenue, traffic stop, gave warning for loud exhaust and improper display.
Saturday, March 22, 2025
12:09 am, East Main Street, traffic stop, enroute to station for test. Male has been released to a family member.
12:03 pm, East Main Street man stating an accident happened in front of his residence between a gray Mustang and an unknown SUV. There is stuff in the roadway. Neither driver reported the accident.
1:01 pm, female caller advised two cars speeding pass her. She came to the station to fill out a report. Male at station also filling out a report.
4:45 pm, Mt. Olivett request to move a downed tree. Officer was able to remove the tree and advised county road department.
8:24 pm, Shamrock Drive, traffic stop, citation issued for expired registration.
9:07 pm, Gobblers Knob, traffic stop, warning given for improper display.
9:31 pm, East Main Street, accident with property damage. Caller states someone backed into his car at BellStore.
9:56 pm, investigate complaint, two females at station wanting to speak with an officer.
10:46 pm, Shannon Road, traffic stop. Gave citation for expired registration.
Sunday, March 23, 2025
1:17 am, North Chestnut Street, traffic stop, gave warning for no headlight.
1:45 pm, Hillcrest, traffic stop, male out for field test and sobriety, He is ok to drive but a little under the influence. Office followed him to Hillcrest subdivision residence. Male pulled into driveway and was given a warning for speed.
8:47 am, caller asking if we would enforce custody paperwork. Advised it a civil issue. Advised it was a civil issue and we don’t enforce custody paper work. He needs to contact his attorney.
9:22 am, person called advising that her daughter’s dad refuses to return their daughter to her today. Advised that this is a civil issue and we don’t get involved with custody disputes. Caller then requested welfare check for her daughter due to being unable to speak to her.
10:21 am, Male at station wanting to check over his custody paperwork from the court.
10:25 am, investigate complaint, welfare check in reference to previous log entries. Child is fine.
2:20 pm, Save A lot, traffic stop, gave warning for registration.
4:06 pm, resident of East Main Street called stating that someone is burning stuff around his home and that hot ash is falling on and around his home.
4:00 pm, central dispatch advised a suspicious male at the boat ramp will have a deputy enroute. North ramp clear negative contact.
6:14 pm, caller needs car unlocked, advise to call Hissom’s because officer is currently out on a call.
11:52 pm, person called in yelling about a police officer following him. Caller advises to tell officer to stop following him and trying to give him a speeding ticket.
