FFA Team Places 8th in Statewide Preliminaries
Barnesville FFA members will compete in the finals in the Ohio General Livestock Judging competition on April 27.
For the past month of invitationals, the members competed in all types of weather leading up to the state livestock judging prelims on Saturday, March 22 where they placed 8th overall guaranteeing a spot for the team in the finals. Judging team members are Emma Welch, Brooke Watson, Ronnie Duvall, Mac Cacioppo, Lydia Welch, Ryland Wehr, Reece Bostic and Carson Johnson.
Running up to the state contest, the group competed and placed in the following competitions:
ATI Inv. (3), Champaign Co (Marysville) Invitational (1), Wilmington Invitational (3),
Southeast (Zanesville) (1), Miami Trace Invitational (4), Indian Lake Invitational (4) and
McClain Invitational (1).

Leather Crafting Class at Barnesville Middle School

Barnesville Middle School students are leaning Leather Crafting work in Art. Tim Arnold, who is a Barnesville Schools bus driver, recently volunteered his time to teach 8th graders how to work with leather material.
Barnesville Band and Auxiliary Tryouts
Clinics for percussion, winds and brass will take place April 7 and April 8 with tryouts on April 10.
Clinics for auxiliary members – majorettes, color guards and commander will take place April 7-9 from 3:00-4:00 at the high school. Tryouts will take place on Friday April 11 at 5:00. This is open for all students grades 8-11 or students in grades 6-7 if the student plans to enroll in band or choir next year.
