Belmont County Sheriff’s Call Log

Western Belmont County excerpts from the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Call Logs from March 22 through March 26 are reported below:

Saturday, March 22

11:20 am – Caller from Flushing-Holloway Road requested a call back regarding a Temporary Protective Order violation. Caller reports the person subject of the TPO made contact. Caller declined to file charges or fill out a report. 

3:44 pm – Maple Avenue, Bethesda. Caller requested welfare check on man who fell outside. Caller assisted man to get up but he fell again. Man transported by Barnesville EMS.

9:48 pm – Caller from Valley Drive, Armstrong Mills reports neighbor made threats with a possible gun. The responding deputy made contact with the caller who states there was no gun but a piece of wood. No threats were made.  The deputy spoke with the neighbor who was intoxicated. Advised neighbor to go to bed.

10:45 pm – Pineview Drive, Belmont. Deputies investigated complaint. 

10:57 pm – Third party Belmont caller reported argument underway at nearby address. Information taken for report.

Sunday, March 23

10:28 am – Secrest Road Goshen Twp., caller reports someone damaged farm gates and tore up fields.  Unit responded and verified damage. The owner has no idea who did it but wanted the incident on records.   

5:55 pm – Caller from Slope Creek, Somerset Township reports a male was bothering the family. Deputy checked. All is okay.

9:57 pm – Female caller on Hendrysburg-Freeport Road states her vehicle is disabled with a flat tire. She was fleeing an assault. Belmont County and Ohio Patrol responded. The party declined filing charges for assault. The owner of the vehicle was contacted. The vehicle was towed with driver riding in the tow truck to impound lot.

Monday, March 24

1:29 pm – Deputy responded to Lafferty address to assist Child Protective Services. 

Tuesday, March 25

3:18 am – Deputy on patrol at Washington Township Garage, E. Captina Highway, Armstrong Mills to perform business check. All secure. 

5:55 pm – Call received from group home, Fairview Road, Kirkwood Township regarding a client tearing up the place and destroying staff cars.

8:18 pm – Call by elderly Flushing man looking for his daughter. She is fine.

10:55 pm – Harrah Road Lafferty. Deputies attempted to follow up with negative contact made.

Wednesday, March 26

11:42 pm – Caller reports a man slumped over on steering wheel at National Road East, Richland Twp., gas station. Deputy checked and reports man is fine.
