Trooper Moran of the St. Clairsville Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol presented “Drive to Live” to Union Local High School students Friday, March 14. It was an opportunity to positively impact youth and engage in conversations about good decision making, according to a school post.
Union Local Schools Calendar Change – April 17
On Thursday, April 17, there will be no school for middle school and high school. The district is using the day to recognize area business and community partners with a luncheon celebration at the school.
Middle and high school teachers will participate in professional development activities that day.
The elementary school will still have school that day.
Union Local Alumni Lunch Program
The Union Local Alumni Association gives back to the district to help students in need pay for school lunches.
“This is an area-funded program and is not associated with the National school lunch program.”

Union Local FFA member Breanne Workman recently won First Place in the Ohio FFA State Dairy Handlers Competition.
Wizard of Oz Production Wrap

Students at Union Local High School presented four performances of the play The Wizard of Oz made famous on the silver screen by Judy Garland and her little dog, Toto. Prior to the productions, high school actors portraying the main characters visited Union Local elementary school students.
