Olney Friends School Annual Fund Drive

The local private Barnesville boarding school has reached 77% of the Annual Fund goal of $300,000, thanks to the generosity of alumni, friends, and stakeholders. The annual fund drive ends with the conclusion of the fiscal year on June 30.
In school news, Head Christian Acemah reports the two admissions counselors, Jeanne Strawn (for domestic applicants) and Anne Medeiros (for international applicants), have energetically collaborated with our digital marketing firms—a strategic initiative approved by our Board of Trustees last year
Together, their efforts have significantly enhanced the school’s recruitment, yielding a strong pool of applicants. Already students admitted for the coming year are from Costa Rica, Ohio, South Africa, and Uganda. Additionally, we have more students from West Virginia, Michigan, China, Kenya, South Korea, and Vietnam in mid-to-advanced stages of the admissions pipeline.
In other good news, Olney Friends School successfully completed its accreditation review last October. The Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) renewed the school’s accreditation for the next seven years, affirming the strong educational mission, dedicated faculty, and vibrant student body.
The Olney Board of Trustees will soon review the initial draft of the institution’s 2025-2030 strategic plan. A Board subcommittee of the Board completed the strategy formulation process and has all the pieces for full board review.
More information on the school along with a donation portal is available on the school’s website.
