Union Local 7th graders toured a compressor station owned by Energy Transfer. While there, students learned about the pipeline network that feeds our country with natural gas. They also learned about the Seneca Compressor Station’s role in distributing/pushing the gas supplies using four 5,000 hp motor/pumps.

Energy Transfer’s Chris Koop and Brian Shafer provided the required safety clothing and gear and provided a guided tour of the facility. The students also heard about pipeline and compressor related careers.

Union Local Middle School Luau Dance – April 25

The dance will take place in the Middle School Gym from 6:00-8:00 on Friday, April 25 for students grades 6-8. Tickets are $15 for a couple or $10 single. The ticket price includes pizza, dessert and drink.   

The dance is semi-formal or Luau attire with school dress code required. 

Union Local Student Career Fair – April 29

The Union Local School District is hosting a Career Fair for District 8th grade and high school students, Tuesday April 29 in the High School Gym. The fair will run from 8:00 – 12:30. 

For area employers and agencies, it is an opportunity to promote summer jobs, internships and career opportunities.
