Monday, April 28, 2025
11:08 am – caller reported her apple watch is missing from her apartment while in the process of moving.
11:26 am – officer was out at Railroad Street in reference to trucks blocking roadway. Trucks was loading an item and will be moving.
12:05 pm – vehicle lockout at Certified.
12:32 pm – investigate complaint at station to report theft of items.
2:18 pm – caller requesting for an officer to stop by his residence referring to someone filing false allegations against him.
2:20 pm – investigate complaint at station. Person wants to talk to an officer.
5:01 pm – vehicle lockout at Shamrock Drive.
6:34 pm – caller asking about fingerprint, was advised of information.
6:37 pm – investigate complaint at station for ink-print fingerprints.
7:16 pm – caller states a medical emergency at South Broadway Street. Transferred caller to 911.
9:06 pm -male caller states he is trying to see his kids but the mother won’t let him. He states that he has court paperwork showing his rights to his children and has been refused visitation by their mother. Caller requesting for the police to assist him getting his kids. Advised we don’t assist with custody issues.
10:14 pm – medical emergence at South Chestnut Street.
Tuesday, April 29, 2025
3:39 am – animal call, Bond Avenue. Black and white dog jumped into ambulance.
6:33 am – dog warden returning to call and will be able to get the dog around 8:30 am.
7:08 am – investigate complaint, East Main Street. Reference to a drive off from yesterday afternoon. Statement left and will have him call or stop and pay for gas.
7:56 am – officer transporting a female student to the JVS from the high school.
9:00 am – dog warden at station to pick up dog.
10:02 am – person from East Main Street advised two dogs came from the area of West Main Street and nipped at the mail carrier. She advised the mail carrier continued on her route after they chased the dogs off. I asked if the dogs were still in the area and was told no.
10:17 am – animal call, West Main Street. Postmaster called in reference of mail carrier being bit by a dog on West Main Street. Caller advised that she is at the Barnesville Emergency Room being treated. Officer dispatched to emergency room to create a report.
10:50 am – officer out with a tractor trailer on Hutchison and Wiley avenues attempting to get back onto N. Chestnut Street.
1:01 pm – follow up investigation, South Chestnut Street. Mail carrier advised she seen the dogs from dog bite call run across the street from Flag Floors towards South Broadway Street. Officer dispatched. Dogs returned to owner who was cited for animals at large.
1:36 pm – follow up investigation, West South Street. Transporting dogs and their owner to sister’s house on West South Street.
1:29 pm – investigate complaint, South Lincoln Avenue. Caller reference that upstairs neighbor making a lot of racket/throwing and slamming things around for the past 10 minutes and stated this happens frequently.
2:32 pm – civil process, Rice Avenue. Attempt to serve papers.
3:23 pm – person at station for statement in reference to reported theft from yesterday.
4:04 pm – employee states there is male in the lobby and hanging out all day. Asked the employee if they asked the male to leave yet. He advised negative. He intends to do that then will call us back if the male refuses to leave. At 6:12 pm, employee called back and stated that he left and all is well. Advised to call back if he comes back and won’t leave.
4:24 pm – report of a tree down across the roadway and blocking Grace Avenue.
4:41 pm – report of a tree down on 800 near Fairyland. Transferred call to Ohio State Patrol.
4:47 pm – report of tree blocking Grace Avenue.
4:47 pm – multiple calls of trees across 800 south outside of corporation. Calls transferred to Ohio State Patrol.
5:19 pm – report of tree down across roadway on East Church Street. Advised street department.
5:45 pm – investigate complaint, Sandy Ridge Road. Out with fire department assisting with a tree and lines down.
8:48 pm – animal call, Warren Avenue. Caller advised dog at large in the area. Officer transporting dog back to municipal garage.
8:57 pm – traffic stop, East Main Street.
9:15 pm – call animal shelter about dog. They advised they will get the dog in the morning.
Wednesday, April 30, 2025
8:22 am – reference to dog picked up last night and put in our garage. Called animal shelter as it was to be picked up by them this morning. They haven’t left yet, stating to release the dog to the owner. Advised person at station and it is not her dog. Called animal shelter back to pick up dog and at 8:52 am animal shelter picked up dog.
9:28 am – domestic trouble, Wiley Avenue. Caller advised she received a call from a person. 10:00 am – victim doesn’t want to file anything.
12:07 pm -person at station to file a fraud report.
1:11 pm – investigate complaint on East Main Street. Caller states a clear baggie containing pills in the parking lot by the sign. Officer picked up baggie and appears to have belonged to a bicyclist due to some of the contents.
2:12 pm – officer flagged down at hospital lot due to a dog left in a vehicle.
4:37 pm – animal call, East Walnut Street. Postmaster called about a house and states that the fence that has dog behind it there. The fence is not very secure and afraid the dogs may end up getting out and biting mail carriers.
5:05 pm – investigate complaint, Bond Avenue. Phone keeps cutting in and out and states needing an officer for a male that was there at the door. Caller opened window and talked to the male. Male reached through the window and grabbed his wife’s arm. Male party left. Caller is not at the residence. Statement form was dropped off but the caller didn’t want to pursue charges. Male didn’t grab female. Conversation took place through the window screen.
6:16 pm – male caller states that he made a motion through court for something and was wondering how long it takes for a motion to go through at court. Advised him to contact the courts.
6:30 pm – stabbing or cutting, Willow Street, Bethesda. Sheriff’s department responding and asking for assistance. Suspect heading toward railroad tracks or in a house around Rice Avenue.
9:03 pm – Barnesville Hospital Emergency Room called wanting to talk with an officer. Advised officer for a call back.
9:39 pm – caller is stating that a person is texting and threating him and about getting his paycheck. Officer talked with caller.
Thursday, May 1, 2025
6:56 am – suspicious vehicle, Dusty Lane. High School student waiting on another friend.
8:09 am – reference a previous complaint of driving habits. Person was having vehicle problems at Cheffy’s lot.
8:55 am – reference to hit skip in Riesbeck’s lot. She advised she would stop in to make a report.
9:11 am – Person at station in reference to hit skip in Riesbeck’s lot. Camera recorded incident. Contacted Sheriff’s department to attempt to contact with individual at his residence. 10:39 am, deputy gave contact information to officer.
11:15 am – follow up on hit skip, Dorsey Avenue.
12:22 pm – Officer to high school for vehicle lock out.
12:22 pm – investigate complaint at station in reference for identity theft.
2:19 pm – caller states reckless driving on 800 passing the Moose ballfield. Caller states driver was also driving reckless on l-70 but didn’t call the Ohio State Patrol. Advised units.
2:37 pm – investigate complaint at Pine Lane to check on a person.
2:44 pm – Morgantown ext. in reference to a person on getting keyed sometime last night. She believes it happened at that location and will stop after work to make a report.
4:22 pm – person at station talking to an officer.
4:22 pm – female caller stated there is a lady that passed out at Fun in the Ville. Advised central.
8:05 pm – caller from Shamrock Drive advised she had her front door open and a yellow lab ran into her house. Dog is still there.

12:26 pm – warrant service.
4:47 pm – vehicle lock out at South Gardner Street.
Saturday, May 3, 2025
12:44 am – traffic stop on Bishop Avenue.
4:13 pm – traffic stop, East Main Street. Warning given for expired tag.
4:50 pm – breaking and entering at South Chestnut Street. Neighbor called stating three teenage boys went into the window of the home. She called the homeowner, and they are not supposed to be there. Homeowner’s son enroute.
7:33 pm – investigate complaint at station. Female and juvenile male to speak to officer in regard to B&E from earlier.
10:31 pm – female caller advised a tree down on Mt. Olivett near Joe Jeffers Road. Advised the county.
11:29 pm – Morgantown Avenue with the squad.
Sunday, May 4, 2025
3:43 am – suspicious person at South Broadway Street. Male yelling in the area. Officer has been searching the area and but nothing found so far.
1:11 pm – traffic stop, Railroad Street. Citation for expired registration.
1:45 pm – traffic stop, North Chestnut Street. Warning given for stop bar.
4:53 pm – traffic stop, East Main Street.
5:10 pm – traffic stop, East Main Street.
6:53 pm – female caller for Henderson Street reporting someone stole her cat and would like to speak to an officer.
9:56 pm – male caller stated that he was hit in the parking lot at Fuel Mart in Quaker City exit. Advised he should call Guernsey County Sheriff.
10:05 pm – female caller reporting that she hit the curb on East Main Street and bent her rim.
11:51 pm – possible disturbance at Pine Lane. It was just some kids wrestling around in the yard.
