Western Belmont County limited excerpts from the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Call Logs for May 4-8.

May 4, 2025

11:47 am – 911 call received from a Groves Road, Belmont address. Line was disconnected upon callback. Deputy dispatched who discovered there was no phone at the address. 

3:17 pm – officer responded to report of death on Jewell Avenue, Holloway. Death was reported to be by natural causes.

May 5, 2025

10:54 pm – officers responded to family members fighting on Northwest Street, Flushing. No physical or criminal behavior occurred in the dispute over discipline.

10:58 pm – caller from West Cross Street, Morristown reports a suspicious male from mental health facility on their porch refusing to leave. Male went back to facility with help of his guardian.

May 6, 2025

4:21 pm – Main Street Jacobsburg caller reports issues with a neighbor. Officers dispatched. Both parties were advised to seek protective orders.

8:00 pm – caller reports male tried to steal lawnmower at Main Street Morristown address but left without items. Officers responded. The caller’s parents own the property who did not want to pursue charges.

10: 24 pm – caller reports mental health patient from Monday call was back at the neighbor’s residence on W. Cross St., Morristown. The patient is fighting with staff. Deputies dispatched and transport ed male back to facility.  

11:52 pm – Mental health patient from Monday call back on West Cross Street, Morristown. Staff at the facility cannot get him to return. Finally, a staff member transported patient to hospital.   

May 8, 2025

4:33 pm – West Main Street, Holloway. Caller reports dog in nearby residence, a possible pit mix, is an ongoing issue running loose and aggressive. Deputies met with owner and advised the dog needs contained. 

5:30 pm – person at station reports they sent $1,000 in bit coin at a gas station in Union Twp. Scam. Person was advised to block the phone number.   

9:56 pm – OK Road, Belmont. E-squad called for 76 YO female. Cardiac arrest.   

10:25 pm – breaking and entering reported on Depot Street in Flushing. Caller believes someone is inside his residence, but no one is living there. Deputies dispatched.  

10:25 pm – Belmont-Morristown Road, Goshen Twp. Two Ohio Patrol units request assistance. Possible rolling domestic violence “vehicle pulled into mine property on SR 145” in Wayne Twp. All verbal occurred near Zanesville.   

10:34 pm – Deputies on Depot Street, Flushing. No one discovered in the residence.
