Earthquake Epicenter in Guernsey County

A 2.9 magnitude earthquake has been detected in Ohio.

According to the USGS, the earthquake happened in Noble County, Ohio just 4km south of Pleasant City, Ohio at 11:13 pm on May 8.

More details show the earthquake also occurred at a depth of 5 kilometers near coordinates 39.866°N and 81.542°W.

The USGS says so far 34 people have reported that they felt the earthquake on May 8.

An earthquake was also recorded near Pleasant City, located in Guernsey County, on April 22. It was a 3.1 magnitude and happened around 4:12 a.m., according to the United States Geological Survey.

The earthquake on May 8th is the fifth quake in Ohio since April 22, according to USGS reports.
