ANNA JONES

Anna Marie Jones, 77, of Belmont, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at her home. She was born September 27, 1947, in Dillonvale, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clifford and Elizabeth Proger Burdess.

Anna was a nurse’s aide for Continuous Care at Wheeling Hospital and Bell Nursing Home in St. Clairsville. She also worked at K-Mart for 20 years. She was a member of the former Glencoe United Methodist Church and a member of the Glencoe Senior Center.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Francis Jones in 2006; two sisters, Julia Neitzelt and Marjorie Jackson; brother, Raymond Burdess; and infant brother, Clifford Burdess Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Gary Todd (Kathleen) Jones of Tampa, Florida, Bryan Clifford (Kelly) Jones of Warwood, West Virginia, and Joshua Daniel (Shana) Jones of Belmont, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Jessica, Megan, Tucker, Keaton, Paisley, Cooper, Jakoby, Paxton, Ryker, and Zoie; her beloved wiener dog, Floki; and pet bird, Jai.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, with funeral services on Thursday at 2 p.m. with Chaplain Kris Bright officiating. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery.
