Joseph Leroy Henry

Joseph Leroy Henry, age 70, of 28445 White Street, Tippecanoe, Ohio died unexpectedly Thursday, May 15, 2025.

He was born July 30, 1954 in Jefferson County, Ohio; a son of the late Clifford Wayne Henry, Sr. and Jo Ann Marasky Henry.

Leroy was a 1973 graduate from Lakeland High School. After graduation, he worked in a bakery in Moundsville, West Virginia, then worked at Jones Equipment in Freeport, then he became a township employee in Lore City and then for Tippecanoe, Washington Township retiring in 2024. He also helped out Bob Stewart the last few years.

He enjoyed collecting and working on lawn mowers and like to fish.

Leroy was preceded in death in June 2003 by his wife, Bonnie K. Crosby Henry.

Surviving are three sisters and two brothers: Leslie Henry of Zanesville, Edna Cross of Deersville, Earl Henry in New Philadelphia, Clara Edwards of Zanesville, and Elizabeth Henry of Barnesville; step-sons, Shawn (Angie) Crosby of Londonderry, and Kevin Crosby of Tippecanoe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Clifford Henry, Jr., Tom Henry, and Charles Henry; and a sister, Susan Dallas.

Leroy’s viewing and service will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Sandra Cappel officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Flushing Township, Ohio.

Koch Funeral Home in Freeport was entrusted with his arrangements.
