Western Belmont County excerpted entries from the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Call Logs for May 11-18.

Sunday, May 11

8:19 pm – Caller states 15-year-old daughter left residence at Harrah Street, Lafferty at noon and has not returned. Deputies located the subject in an alley between Wood and Pearl streets in Flushing. Subject returned home.  

Tuesday, May 13 

Caller reports mailboxes were vandalized on Chestnut Ridge Road south of Barnesville.

Wednesday, May 14

Deputy went to Sleep Inn Suites south of Morristown regarding delivery of a warrant for a male. No contact. Deputy went to a Bethesda location where a vehicle matching the description was found. The subject was not located or served.   

Thursday, May 15

2:30 am – Tennessee State Police report multiple calls received about a child running from that state to New York being located at a Town Hill Road, Jacobsburg, address. Party in Tennessee then claims it is a scam. Deputies talked with man at the address who had no knowledge of the report.

8:35 am – Caller reports a silver Nissan Altima parked on Egypt North Road since 3:00 am with a male and female inside.  Deputy found them sleeping with open containers.  Consent provided to search. One joint found on the 20-year-old female. Confiscated along with open containers.      

9:49 am – 911 hang ups from Statler Drive, Belmont. An officer responded. Internet issues at residence otherwise all is well.   

9:48 pm – Pratt Street, Holloway caller reports neighbor backed into their truck on private property. The son of caller says he and neighbor exchanged information and neighbor will cover damages.

Friday, May 16

2:01 am – Simply Safe alarm drop in Flushing Twp. Silent keypad alarm. Spoke with owner. All is well. Believe it is a malfunction.

Saturday, May 17

12:44 am – Traffic stop made on I-70 WB at mile post 212 near Morristown. Warning issued for turn signal.

2:40 am – Warren Twp. Caller states person is in her driveway, got out of the vehicle, and stayed a moment, then left. Negative contact made with vehicle/driver.

Sunday, May 18

11:34 pm – Caller from Goshen Twp. Reports they can not sleep due to noise. Officer dispatched and heard no loud noises. Cleared.
