The Barnesville Chamber extended thanks this week to member Candi Atkinson. Through her business, Candi’s Creations, she volunteered to decorate the display windows at the village-owned Bohandy Building at the corner of Main and Chestnut streets.

Yes, it is that time of the year. Fairyland Drive In opened for the season on Sunday, May 18. As part of the opening, they introduced a new ice cream flavor – Cookie Monster!
Another new feature this year is online ordering. The popular summer eatery is open Tuesday through Sunday each week, closed Mondays.

Kari McGee, owner of Karing Hands Massage Service, announced recently she is shutting down the business’s Facebook page at the end of the month.
She confirmed she is no longer accepting new patients but will continue to serve longtime customers from her home.
Anyone who has gift certificates are asked to call (740) 425-4034 to schedule appointments.
Meanwhile, the downtown location will be taken over by Alli Anderson, new owner/operator. Barnesville Area News will share more information on that point in the coming weeks.

Barnesville resident Jean Samuels announced she will again provide fresh produce for the Barnesville community. She will open the stand in the parking lot of Chestnut Lanes on Saturday, June 14. Hours are 9:00 to 2:00 or until sold out.

In a Public Notice published in Belmont County’s daily newspaper on May 18, it was revealed that AT & T Ohio will no longer accept orders for Basic Local Exchange Services for new business and residential customers for several area telephone exchanges. Customers in Bethesda, Clarington, Lewisville and Woodsfield are affected by the change.
