Patricia L. Buckey Obituary

Patricia L. Buckey, age 93, of Cambridge, Ohio, died Monday, May 26, 2025, at the home of her daughter in Salesville. She was born July 29, 1931, in Cumberland, daughter of the late Harry Olon and Hettie Olive McClaine Cowgill. She was a 1949 graduate of Cumberland High School. Patricia was employed over the years by Brady’s Radio Shop in Caldwell and RCA and Kroger in Cambridge. Since 1957, she was a very active member of the Beckett United Methodist Church in Cambridge and was a member of its United Methodist Women. She was faithful to visit shut-ins and nursing homes and delivered Meals on Wheels. She hosted Men for Missions meetings in her home as well as missionaries from around the world. She was a devoted Christian woman and mother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Raymond O. Buckey; one sister, Esther Maust; an infant brother, Raymond Eugene Cowgill; and special friends, Carl and Shirley Beynon.

Surviving are her husband of 74 years, Clifford E. Buckey, whom she married November 25, 1951; her children, Debra S. (Matthew) Stiers of Salesville and Kenneth E. (Renee) Buckey of Caldwell; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren with another due in September; her sister, Joyce E. (Jim) Gentry of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 11AM-2PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 2PM with Pastor Randy Mercer officiating.
