Monday, May 19, 2025
10:04 am – South Chestnut Street caller advised there needs to be an officer at the cemetery. Caller states that a male is walking his dog in the cemetery. There is a sign posted that dogs are not allowed in the cemetery. An officer spoke to the dog walker who left the cemetery.
12:06 pm – caller wanted to talk to an officer about her service animal that is left at her mother’s house on South Broadway Street. Officer called person.
12:26 pm – following up with person. Dog is fine. Daughter is aware that she can’t keep the animal.
12:44 pm – caller states that a vehicle travels on Mt. Olivet Road blasting loud music that rattles windows on their house. It happens a lot.
3:34 pm – caller asked if we keep records of purchases of dog benches at the new dog park. Advised to contact the Belmont County Sheriff’s office. Also wanted to know if anyone in Barnesville sells benches for the dog park. Dispatcher advised no.
8:40 pm – caller states someone from the sheriff’s office and EPA stopped at their residence today and wanted to know what it was about. Advised to contact either of those agencies.
Tuesday, May 20, 2025
12:00 am – officer assisting squad at Wiley Avenue.
7:09 am – vehicle lock out on East South Street.
10:02 am – caller states semi-truck is stuck on West Pike Street for the last 20 minutes. Unsure if driver knows how to get back out of the location. Advised officer.
10:41 am – male passed out in truck in drive thru of Dairy Queen. Male is awake and responsive.
11:15 am – caller at car wash advised two individuals are acting suspicious and hanging out in a black car. Officer responded but found nothing.
11:19 am – individual at station completing report regarding threats and harassment.
12:23 pm – welfare check on West Main Street.
1:22 pm – Squad sent to Middle School for a student who fell and hit his head.
2:11 pm – out with an accident at East South Street. Both parties pulled off the roadway and are exchanging information. Driver of striking vehicle cited.
5:39 pm – East Main Street restaurant reported a door dash order was taken from the counter. Officer spoke to the manager who chose not to file charges. Suspects are not permitted back in the business.
Wednesday, May 21, 2025
8:05 am – person at station asking about the noise ordinance for outside of corporation limit. Advised that area outside of the corporation would fall under state laws.
8:10 am – civilian on North Chestnut Street walked up to cruiser about of an accident. Hissoms contacted.
12:03 pm – officer on Woodland Avenue with a golf cart inspection.
1:31 pm – caller reporting a missing juvenile. Office advised and to follow up. Missing juvenile report faxed to 911 for entry and BOLO -be on the lookout
2:08 pm – traffic light at intersection of North Chestnut and Church streets is flashing red on all four sides.
2:20 pm – caller from Commodore Lane reports a person won’t stop texting her. Advised to block that number and to call back if needed.
4:46 pm – caller on West South Street reports hearing gun shots in the alley but doesn’t see anyone in the area. Officer didn’t hear anything in the area. There was no answer when caller contact attempted.
7:01 pm – person at station in reference to a complaint on ex.
7:07 pm – Noble County ask if we would make contact with a person on South Lincoln. Contact made. Noble County notified.
7:58 pm – vehicle lock out on East Main Street.
8:14 pm – woman at station from East Main Street stating she has custody of daughter. Man is refusing to drop daughter off after visitation.
8:30 pm – person at station reports she was assaulted twice last Sunday by a woman and wants to file a report. She was advised her she needs to contact the law enforcement agency where the incident occurred.
8:32 pm – officer spoke to the other half of a child visitation dispute.
10:45 pm – Gobblers Knob resident advised her soon to be ex was served with divorce papers and is not to be at the residence. He is there now. Advised her to contact the Belmont County Sheriff.
10:59 pm – officer enroute to station with a dog to hold in the garage. Person at station to pick up dog was issued a citation for dog running at large.
Thursday, May 22, 2025
3:00 pm – civil process at Captina Drive for a warrant attempt with the Belmont County Sheriff.
4:17 pm – Village Administrator called and advised that there is a mother and child at the Veterans Plaza drawing with chalk. She was told they were keeping that cleaned up for Memorial Day. She didn’t like that answer. Officer needed to tell her to clean it up. Chalk is cleaned up.
5:06 pm – person called stating they would like a call record completed about a custody dispute. Person will come to the station to make statement.
5:33 pm – person from West South Street called reporting a neighbor moved out and asked her to keep an eye on the house. No one should be on the property. There are three kids going through camper and shed on the premises.
7:18 pm – 911 called to advise of a BOLO and if party is seen, a welfare check.
8:25 pm – 911 transferred a call from a person that stated her daughter called her for her soon to be ex-husband’s house. He is calling her names, and the daughter is upset.
8:58 pm – 911 called and advised to cancel the BOLO of the previous hour. Man is at the hospital.
9:02 pm – officer at hospital and enroute with male from the hospital in reference of BOLO.
Friday, May 23, 2025
8:34 am – officer out on Captina Drive with warrant attempt with marshals.
10:11 am – at Captina Drive. One male in custody. Called Wheeling Police department to confirm warrant served. Male taken to Belmont County jail.
11:48 am – officer at Barnesville Commons parking lot in reference to a vehicle with the hood up and no one present. Contacted the owner who said the trunk is broken.
4:01 pm – caller reporting a vehicle theft. As the location is outside the corporation, referred to Sheriff’s office.
4:50 pm – traffic stop at WesBanco parking lot. Warning issued for driving wrong way on one way street.
8:40 pm – person called advising their car broke down and a tow company has been contacted.
Saturday, May 24, 2025
7:37 am – welfare check on Captina Drive. Boyfriend can’t get ahold of woman. Officer reports she is home and fine.
8:48 am – female caller from Bethesda wanting to file a report about a person threatening her. Advised to call the Sheriff’s department.
10:23 am – ice truck hit the roof at South Chestnut Street location.
12:23 pm – caller reporting that a person who has been missing might be in Bellaire. I advised her to contact the Sheriff’s department and I will advise an officer.
12:40 pm – male at station trying to figure out if he can get a speedbump on Warren Avenue due to a truck driving at a high rate of speed.
1:07 pm – in reference to previous complaint about a speeder on Warren Avenue. I spoke to a male and states that he is the one in the videos. He states he understands and will do better.
3:15 pm – follow up investigation at Gray Lane. Attempting to make contact.
4:05 pm – male at station speaking with an officer about custody issues.
5:27 pm – traffic stop at West Church Street. Consented to search. Citation issued and seized paraphernalia.
6:45 pm – female on station speaking with officers in reference to daughter ran off. Unknown where she is at and has not come back home yet.
6:58 pm – follow up investigate at Morgantown Avenue.
7:01 pm – Pine Lane, follow up to reference to person at station and spoke to her on the phone. She says she is not at the house but it is ok if officer looks around the house to see if the person is there.
7:18 pm – Henderson Street, person called about 2 dogs running loose in the area. They are black/white dogs and are causing problems. Officer advised to call the animal shelter.
7:34 pm – juvenile has been located and she is at the house.
7:36 pm – animal shelter called in wanting to talk with an officer. Person stated that they won’t come out unless it is an emergency.
7:49 pm – Henderson Street, dogs are not injured. Owner contacted the neighbor and they are on their way to get their dogs.
9:00 pm – report of a crash in front of Home Pizza. Car stuck parked car with no injuries or damages. Drivers exchanged information.
9:19 pm – individuals at station worried on well-being. Advised officer.
10:38 pm – 911 called asking if officer is on duty with k-9 officer. They need help tracking for a missing male in St. Clairsville area. Male has been missing for a couple of hours.
11:28 pm – traffic stop South Chestnut Street. Warning given for headlights.
11:49 pm – East South Street resident called stating there is an unattended campfire nearby. Officer states the fire is attended by a person who is keeping an eye on it.

8:00 am – officer out for a loose beagle near Beeology on E. Main. Dog took off. Negative contact.
12:48 pm – elderly female on Clifton Street needs help to get her door opened and help getting in.
2:44 pm – male at station reports his car got hit in the Dairy Queen parking lot. Parties exchanged information.
3:47 pm – Caller from Fairmont Avenue states an odd package delivered to his address should have been delivered to a Richmond Street address. The vendor will retrieve the package and deliver it to the correct address.
3:56 pm – caller from 800 South asked if Comcast is supposed to be there in an unmarked vehicle. Advised to call the Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line.
6:35 pm – caller asking about the missing juvenile who was picked up yesterday.
9:00 pm – Barnesville Hospital called advising that they have a psych patient in their emergency room being difficult. Officer requested.
9:49 pm – caller states a vehicle was all over the roadway flashing high beams. The vehicle exited I-70 and is heading to Barnesville.
