Belmont County Sheriff’s Call Log

Western Belmont County excerpts from the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Call Logs for May 29-June 4 are reported below.

Thursday, May 29

9:04 am – vehicle reported to be blocking a lane on Plainfield Road, Belmont. Officer indicates owner will move it.

4:22 pm – Officer responded to Belmont County Road 122 address to assist on an animal call with Belmont County Hoof and Paw.

7:20 pm – caller requests a welfare check on Virginia Avenue, Bethesda, address. Officers responded. Transport to WVU Medicine Reynolds Memorial.

Sunday, June 1

9:54 am – Bank Street Flushing caller reports suspicious person. Man in yellow truck is yelling and hitting his head. Officers dispatched discovered man who said he was arguing with his girlfriend but is not distressed.

4:57 pm – Main Street Morristown dirt bike complaint. Officer spoke with parents of boy wo was driving it without a license. Advised of the ramifications, parent will take care of it.

10:52 pm – Main Street Armstrong Mills fight between two males reported. One is hitting the side of the house.

11:16 pm – Morristown Main Street caller, a juvenile reports mom and stepdad are fighting. Verbal only. Everyone was advised to try and stay separated.

Monday, June 2

8:43 pm – 911 call received hearing a male yelling at another male. Caller indicates the call was mistake. Deputy responded to a Main Street, Jacobsburg address speaking with father who said everything was okay.   

Tuesday, June 3

11:09 am – Flushing-Holloway Road welfare check requested for person who told caller they would not be around long. Area patrolled, person not found.

3:46 pm – crash reported at Pilot Travel Center, 66377 Belmont-Morristown Road.

5:48 pm – truck fire reported at Pilot Travel Center, 66377 Belmont-Morristown Road.

8:31 pm – Ohio Patrol reports BOLO for male on Belmont-Warnock Road wearing a black tee shirt driving a red lawn mower. Driver is pulling on and off the roadway in front of traffic.

Wednesday, June 4

9:29 am – Harrah Street, Lafferty male came to station citing an ATV driver going all over town. Wants more patrols in the area. 

12:19 pm – Accident at Pilot Station on Belmont-Morristown Road. Parties will exchange information. Officer not needed.

5:34 pm – Center Street, Holloway call was originally sent to Patrol. Mother advises husband and daughter are in the driveway arguing. OSHP on the scene.

7:55 pm – Harrah Street, Lafferty, caller reports dirt bikes are being driver on the road. Negative contact made.

10:37 pm – South Main Street Bethesda caller requests squad for mental health situation. Juvenile is in squad for transport to Wheeling.
