Depot Roof Project Bids Opened

The Village of Barnesville opened bids for the depot roof project Wednesday at 3:00. Four bids were received and logged. They range from all new roof tiles to reusing and mixing in appropriate used tiles.
The historic depot building was built in 1916-17. The current tile roof is the original.
The project has received a $75,000 capital grant from the state of Ohio thanks to the efforts of State Senator Brian Chavez. A $5,000 Belmont County Tourism GAP Grant was also awarded for the project this spring.
Bidders and amounts:
Precision Construction and Roofing – $163,949.79
Revere Roofing Company – $154,500.00/$172,000.00
Ramp Construction Company – $260,000.00
The Durable Slate Company – $196,000.00
The Village Council Building and Grounds Committee will meet Monday, June 9, 1:00 in the council chambers to review and discuss the bids.
The appointed committee is made up of council members Tim McKelvey, Robyn Misner and Les Tickhill.
The meeting is open to public.
