Richard Duaine Darby

Richard Duaine Darby, 69, of Beallsville, Ohio unexpectedly passed away at his home on June 9, 2025.  He was born on July 10, 1955 to the late Earl and Loree (Morris) Darby.

Richard retired from the coal mine.  He was an avid fan of Nascar, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the San Francisco 49rs.  He enjoyed collecting guns and fixing up his 1984 Chevrolet Camaro.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was funny and loved to make people laugh. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and the Order of the Moose clubs.  His favorite time was spent with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Evan Hess; siblings, Donald “Buck”, Russell, Ilene, Helen “Sis”, Hilda, Ken, Leland; brother, Bob Darby; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Ernie Ferguson.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Terra Darby; son, Eric (Amanda) Darby; grandchildren, Kiliegh Darby, Braxtin Hackney, Owen Darby plus many special nieces and nephews.

Friends and Family are invited to a graveside service to share memories of Richard on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 12pm at the Beallsville Cemetery.  Wilson Funeral Homes, Harper Chapel, 52728 Ohio Avenue, Beallsville, Ohio 43716, is assisting the family.
