Belmont County Sheriff’s Log

Western Belmont County excerpts from the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Call Logs for June 8-June 11 are reported below.

Sunday, June 8

9:23 am – Accident at I-70 MP 206 east of Morristown. One occupant has a confirmed felony warrant. Ohio Patrol on scene first asked for back up then canceled request.

12:00 pm – South Sixteen Road, Somerset Twp., Barnesville, female caller requests assistance getting her items from home of ex. Juvenile called 911 to report his father’s ex-girlfriend is at the house and others are with her. Father advised juvenile not to allow entry. 

Deputies determined both man and woman are owners of the house after checking county auditor’s website. Deputies spoke with father by phone. Female was able to retrieve items while deputies were   present.      

5:05 pm – Main Street, Morristown caller reports an apparent three-year-old child at the residence. Caller does not know where the child came from. Deputies were dispatched. The mother of child called 911 and was told child’s location. Deputies spoke with child and mother. All is OK.

6:16 pm – Bridge Street, Belmont caller reports her ex- threatened to slash tires on her vehicle. She drove it today and had a flat tire resulting in damage to the rim.  Caller was told how to secure a Criminal Protective Order.

Monday, June 9

12:09 am – Traffic stop on SR 149, Belmont-Morristown Road. Driver given warning for Driving Under Suspension. Driver had proper paperwork.

7:11 pm – National Road Belmont Domestic Incident. Caller states man hit female in the face. Female refusing treatment from EMS. Conflicting stories. Neither party wants to file charges or leave.  Both are advised the consequences if law enforcement is called again.

Tuesday, June 10

1:43 pm – Belmont address caller reports receiving a call from Social Security. Is it a scam? The caller was advised to contact the Social Security Administration.

10:10 pm – Pine Lane Barnesville. Caller lost IPad at this location and is on his way back to look for it. Two officers searched the area and were not able to find it.

Wednesday, June 11

12:43 am – Open 911 call from a Flatrock Road Extension, Somerset Township, Barnesville address. Sounds like a male and female arguing. At 1:24 it was determined there was an argument. Both parties had too much to drink and are going to bed.

5:54 pm – Memory Lane, Morristown, events center. Deputy on special duty.

11:50 pm – Call regarding a Stenger Road, Belmont address where a showroom monitor detects movement. The keyholder requests walk through. No sign of anyone being present.
