Members of the clinical education team from Wheeling and Reynolds Memorial Hospitals traveled to Barnesville Hospital to hold an OB/newborn training session. Education was provided on childbirth, OB emergencies, and the care of newborns. A simulation and an escape room were used to provide hands-on experience. Members of the Bethesda EMS squad also took part in the training.

Station Rebrands as “to Go” Store

The gas service station at 66190 Barnesville-Hendrysburg Road just south of I-70, long affiliated with the Sunoco gas brand, is now a BP “To Go” store.

“to Go” is a branded convenience store concept used by BP, particularly in their gas station locations, to enhance the shopping experience and attract customers. These stores offer a variety of food, snacks, and drinks, and often include a fresh, stylish environment. The first to Go store opened in 2014.

Free Food Friday!

Barnesville Do it Best Hardware and Rental on South Chestnut Street and Joe’s Tires on Shamrock Drive/East Main Street staged “Customer Appreciation Day” events Friday, June 13. Both businesses offered free food and giveaways while Do it Best also offered special deals and sales throughout the day.

Chamber Widows Freshened

The Barnesville Chamber of Commerce/Ohio BMV windows at 130 West Main Street were recently
“freshened up” by chamber member Candi Atkinson of Candi’s Creations. The display windows are particularly striking when highlighted by light at night!
