Noble Commissioner Named to State Representative Post

COLUMBUS, OH — Noble County Commissioner Ty Moore has been appointed by the Ohio GOP House Screening Committee to fill the 95th District seat in the Ohio House of Representatives. Moore replaces Don Jones who accepted a federal position with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in May.
Moore, who has served as Noble County Commissioner for nine years, was in the first year of his third term.
The Noble County native is also Vice President of Caldwell-based R.C. Moore Lumber Company. He is a 1987 graduate of Caldwell High School and graduated from Bucknell University in 1992.
Moore is expected to be sworn in at the Ohio State House on Wednesday, June 18. He resigned as commissioner at the end of the business day Monday, June 16. The Noble County Republican Party is expected to fill the position soon.
Moore’s family is connected to Belmont County. His late grandmother Eleanor May Thornberry Moore (1913-2011) grew up in Belmont and was a 1931 graduate of Belmont High School.
