Quaker City Clean Up Days

Residents of the village of Quaker City will have an opportunity to off-load unwanted items including household goods, furniture and some appliances on Friday and Saturday, June 27-28.

The village will have a dumpster at the old sewer plant during those two days for residents to dump items into dumpsters. Items may not be left out of the dumpsters. 

Hours are Friday from 12 Noon to 9 pm (dusk) and Saturday from 7 am to 9 pm (dusk).

Items the village will not accept include tires, batteries, dead animals, AC units and refrigerators. 

Large appliances accepted include washers, dryers, stoves and hot water heaters.

A public notice was distributed to households within the village limits by order of the Mayor, Council and Fiscal Officer.      

Smith Township Budget Hearing

A public hearing for Smith Township will take place during on Thursday, June 26 at 4 pm at the Smith Township Community Center, Centerville.  The hearing will cover the budget for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026.  Janette D. Carson, Fiscal Officer.   

Union Township Park District #13 Budget Hearing

A public hearing for the Fiscal Year 2026 budget for Lafferty Park will take place, Tuesday, July 1, 6 p.m. at Lafferty Park, 43170 Mt. Hope Road, Flushing.   

Village of Barnesville Budget Hearing

The 2026 Village of Barnesville Budget Hearing will take place prior to the bi-weekly council meeting, Monday, June 30. The hearing will take place in the municipal building council chambers at 6:30 pm.
