Western Belmont County excerpts from the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Call Logs covering various dates from June 15 through June 25 are reported below.

Sunday, June 15

7:52 pm – deputies responded to an address on Belmont-Centerville Road for a 911 call with open line. Female heard in the background who called back to report everything was okay.

Monday, June 16

3:29 am – caller from National Road Belmont reports men are trying to break into her car. Suspects were not located.  $60 in cash reported stolen from inside unlocked vehicle.  

7:12 pm – welfare request made for female at Route 26 North Bethesda address. Deputies discovered subject has an active warrant out by Belmont County for failure to appear on charges of drug paraphernalia and a Temporary Protective Order.

Tuesday, June 17

2:28 am – suspicious vehicles reported on Chini Road, Flushing. Officers found nothing. Mental issues may be at play, according to the report.

Sunday, June 22

1:59 am – Deputies dispatched to Main Street, Barnesville, regarding a 21-year-old possibly suicidal male. Squad called, subject transported to Reynolds Memorial Hospital.

2:29 am – Morristown-Flushing Road caller states 16-year-old friend is going to harm herself. Deputies contacted family who report the female is going through a breakup but does not want to harm herself. Parents will closely monitor.

8:51 am – Bemont-Morristown Road, Pilot Station trucking manager requests a welfare check on man who previously said he was not feeling well but is not answering phone. Deputies contacted man who is okay, but phone is dead.

2:14 pm – Gaston Lane, Morristown caller reports neighbor handed her a paper that said it was a 911 call claiming they kidnapped her daughter. Scam. Victim experiences seizures, going into one while talking with deputies. Taken to Barnesville Hospital by Barnesville EMS.

4:00 pm – Lockout of vehicle at Pilot Station, Belmont-Morristown Road. Dogs are in vehicle. Deputies assisted, car unlocked.

4:41 pm – West Street, Holloway caller reports getting into an argument with 15-year-old son who left premises. She wants to know what to do if the behavior continues or son does not return. Advised of options. Juvenile found at a friend’s house. He will go home tonight.

7:01 pm – Washington Street, Bethesda. Truck is doing burnouts and is now reported at Clark service station. Truck departed before deputies arrived.

8:25 pm – Traffic stop, marked lanes warning issued, at Bethesda Pizza Parlor on Maple Avenue.

Monday, June 23

2:02 pm – Chapel Hill Road, Jacobsburg (Smith Twp.), loose dog reported running in roadway. Owner located and notified.

5:48 pm – Belmont-Morristown Road, 208 Fuel Plaza, stolen motorcycle reported with thief identified by complainant.

8:00 pm – Anonymous caller reports domestic trouble, altercation between man and woman. No weapons visible at the Rice Avenue, Bethesda address.

Tuesday, June 24

8:46 am – 911 hang ups from Love’s Truck Stop. Deputies dispatched. All okay.

8:47 am – At I-70 Westbound Roadside Rest, keys and phone lockout reported by Arizona driver.

6:48 pm – Main Street Morristown caller reports an individual with a Temporary Protective Order was at the residence. Subject left before deputies’ arrival.

9:18 am – Pilot Station, Belmont-Morristown Road, accident with property damage reported.

11:05 pm.  Rice Street Bethesda caller is having issues with child’s father over belongings. Advised it is a civil matter.

Wednesday, June 25

6:46 am – Shooting reported on Twp. Rd. 70, Goshen Twp., Bethesda. Male with gunshot wound that could be self-inflicted. Subject now in custody by Wheeling Police.

8:19 pm – Mother of juvenile at Barnesville Hospital will make a full sexual offense report once child is cleared from hospital.

8:24 pm –High Street Flushing caller reports daughter heard comments made to her by a juvenile male. No contact made with male.
